Independent Accreditation, LLC was formed in Alabama on November 5, 2026. Led by President Rachel Durden, the company is developing an accreditation program for physician offices performing Level II and Level III office-based surgery in Alabama.
Our purpose is to support independent, standards-based evaluation aligned with Ala. Admin. Code Chapter 540-X-10. Our proposed program centers on patient care, recordkeeping, equipment, personnel and facilities, supported by fair review and ongoing quality evaluation.
We are petitioning the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners for approval as an OBS accrediting entity. Formation of the company does not constitute Board approval, and we do not currently represent ourselves as a Board-approved accreditor.
